On June 20, 2023, Paris hosted the annual international exhibition Paris Air Show, where the 24th World Airline Awards took place. Kazakh low-cost airline FlyArystan took part in the "Oscar of the aviation industry" for the first time and received the award "Best low-cost carrier in Central Asia and CIS".
Remember that last year the low-cost carrier of Kazakhstan passed a full aviation audit by Skytrax and received a high rating of 4 stars. And now FlyArystan not only has the highest Skytrax audit score of all time (there is not a single 5-star low-cost carrier in the world), but is also recognized as the best low-cost airline in the Central Asia region and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
It should be noted that in just 4 years of operation, the low-cost airline of the Air Astana group increased its fleet from 2 to 15 aircraft, transported more than 10 million people not only within Kazakhstan, but also gave many Kazakhstanis the opportunity to travel outside the country for the first time to Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, India and other countries at affordable prices. The company plans to increase the fleet, expand the international route network of the LCC and offer even more available seats.
Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax said: "As a new entrant to the growing Central Asian low-cost market we offer our congratulations to FlyArystan on their success in this year's World Airline Awards. To achieve such a good impression with customers at this stage is a fantastic achievement which should be a source of great pride for the airline management and staff."
Skytrax is a British consulting agency founded in 1989 in London. It collects information about the quality of services provided by various air carriers and airports. The research and data collection takes place on the basis of several types of surveys of respondents. Skytrax agents may interview random samples of passengers in person or by phone. There is also the opportunity for customers to take part in regular online surveys by themselves. Based on this data, ratings are formed and awards are granted.
